Precision die casting – aluminum, zinc, magnesium, and copper-based alloys. Suitable for high-volume production (10,00+ units).
Typical ±0.05 mm to ±0.10 mm depending on part size and geometry. Tighter tolerances available with secondary CNC machining.
Down to 0.5mm depending on material, part geometry, and flow characteristics.
Tooling: 4–6 weeks. First articles: 1–2 weeks after tooling completion. Production lead times: 2–4 weeks depending on volume.
In-process inspections, dimensional reports, and material certifications. Secondary CMM inspection available for critical features.
Choose casting for volumes above 10,00 units – lower per-part cost. Choose CNC machining for low volumes, tight tolerances (±0.002 mm), or thin walls (0.05 mm) not achievable in casting.
